Purpose and scope

BlueFunda, Inc. ("BlueFunda") respects and supports internationally recognized human rights in everything we do. This policy sets out how we uphold those rights in our own operations and in our relationships with suppliers, contractors, partners and customers. It applies to all BlueFunda directors, officers, employees, contractors and consultants, wherever they work. We expect our suppliers and business partners to adopt equivalent standards.

Our commitment

Our operating principles of respect, integrity, grit and fun start with treating every person with dignity. We comply with all applicable laws, and where local law sets a lower bar than international standards, we follow the higher standard. This policy is guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

No forced or compulsory labor

We prohibit forced, bonded, indentured and prison labor, and all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. Employment is freely chosen, and workers may leave with reasonable notice. We do not withhold identity documents or charge recruitment fees.

No child labor

We do not employ anyone under the legal minimum working age, and never anyone under 15. Workers under 18 do not perform hazardous work.

Non-discrimination and equal opportunity

Hiring, pay, promotion and termination decisions are based on merit. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status or any other protected characteristic.

Harassment-free workplace

We do not tolerate harassment, bullying, abuse, intimidation or retaliation of any kind.

Fair wages and working hours

We pay at least the legally required minimum wage, provide legally mandated benefits, and comply with laws on working hours, overtime and rest.

Freedom of association

We respect workers' right to join or not join associations and to bargain collectively, in line with local law.

Health and safety

We provide a safe and healthy working environment, whether in the office, at client sites or working remotely.

Privacy and data protection

We protect the personal data of employees, customers and partners and handle it in line with applicable privacy laws. See our Privacy Policy.

Ethical business conduct

We prohibit bribery and corruption in all forms.

Suppliers, contractors and partners

We expect suppliers, subcontractors, staffing partners and other business partners to respect the principles in this policy and to apply them in their own supply chains. We consider human rights practices when selecting and reviewing suppliers. Where we identify a serious breach, we will work with the supplier to correct it, and we may end the relationship if it is not resolved.

Due diligence

We assess human rights risks in our operations and supply chain in proportion to our size and activities, and take action to prevent or address them.

Reporting concerns

Anyone, inside or outside BlueFunda, can report a suspected breach of this policy to the CEO or to compliance@bluefunda.com. Reports may be made anonymously where the law allows.

Non-retaliation

We will not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith. Concerns are investigated promptly, confidentially and fairly.

Accountability

The Founder and CEO is responsible for this policy. Violations may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract.

Communication and review

This policy is shared with all employees and contractors, made available to suppliers and customers, and reviewed at least annually.
